There’s a critical bug within the current version 2.0.1 of Writers App BASIC which prompted me to remove this version from the App Store until an update is released. This bugfix update 2.0.2 is already submitted to Apple and will hopefully be released within the next hours.
Unfortunately the synopsis, plot, premise and notes fields of a story aren’t migrated into the new data model of version 2.0 of Writers App BASIC, so this data gets lost after starting version 2.0 or 2.0.1 for the first time. Everyone who has currently updated Writers App BASIC, but not yet started it, should wait starting the app until version 2.0.2 is available (which also migrates this missing data into this new version). Everyone else can use the backup function of iOS to restore a previous state before starting the updated version of Writers App BASIC and then wait until the bugfix update 2.0.2 is released on the App Store.
Of course I’ll keep you up to date about the progress of the update and tell you as soon as it is available. To ensure that this error won’t happen to too much users, I’ve decided to remove Writers App BASIC from the App Store until version 2.0.2 is available. I hope you can understand this.
I’m extremely sorry for this issue and I did my best to solve it as fast as possible and to reduce the problems it caused. I’m very sad that I caused this trouble and I’ll do my best that such a problem won’t happen again in the future. Furthermore I hope that everyone of you isn’t too angry about my fault and can still enjoy working with Writers App.
